Spišský Štiavnik

The village is located on high part of Hornad river in north-west Slovak Paradise. The easiest connection is from Poprad (distanced 10 km) by bus. The first reference about this village is from 1246. You can visit a Renaissance castle from 16th century built on bases of medieval monastery and a Roman Catholic church from 14th century which had been rebuilded in 18th century by Baroque style, or set off for a easy trip to Betlanovice, Hranovnice or Podlesok (max. 5 km long).
